Victory Productions created the Drive for Five network to champion more live organ donations, less kidney disease sufferers and better legislative policies removing barriers and encouraging greater participation in live organ donation.

Our motto is “Share your spare, save a life, leave a priceless legacy.” America has a growing kidney crisis. 93,000 languish on transplant lists. Many are dying on those lists considering there is only 27,000 donations annually. The gap is growing because of America’s poor diet triggering the kidney killers: High blood pressure, diabetes and excessive weight. It is especially prominent in communities of color.

Drive for Five Ambassadors offer encouragement and share best practices to inspire, advocate and educate the public about kidney disease and the paramount importance of live organ donation.

Ambassador Program

The Drive for Five Network Ambassador Program features passionate people who know the landscape of live organ donation. Donors, recipients and medical care professionals working in the renal care world and determined to fight back against our nation’s growing kidney crisis. It is estimated 550,000 are on dialysis today. That number is expected to grow to a million in the next decade.

Advocacy

The Drive For Five Network is actively involved in advocacy to develop and pass more progressive legislative policies at the state and federal levels, encouraging greater participation in live organ donation. This includes updating the 40-year-old National Organ Transplant Act to increase donations by allowing organ donors to be compensated.

There are 90,000 Americans on waiting lists, but only about 27,000 donations per year. The vast majority are from deceased donors.
